Past Perfect Life by Elizabeth Eulberg *REVIEW*
Past Perfect Life
By Elizabeth Eulberg
I read the synopsis of this one on the BOTM website and decided to chose this one from their backlist selections as my first book from them and honestly I was disappointed.
While it seems like the kidnapping would be a pretty central part of the story that gets discovered/talked about early on, it takes until about the halfway point for it to even be discussed and at that point I wasn't a fan of the main character. Another thing that made me dislike Past Perfect Life, is that in the synopsis, it seems like a non-relative was responsible for her kidnapping which was not the case. The book tackles some tough subjects but I think that they could have been done better. Ally, our main character just goes with the flow and doesn't voice her opinions until its too late for her opinion to really matter and that bugged me. The friendships were fine, but it felt like romance was just there to add something else to the story.
Overall, Past Perfect Life is not one that I would generally recommend.
