Light Years by Kass Morgan *REVIEW*

Light Years

By Kass Morgan

Light Years was one of my most anticipated books of the year and I'm so glad to say that it did not disappoint. After recently re-watching The 100 and picking up the books, I was super excited to find out that the Kass Morgan was starting a new series set in space and was so happy when I got my hands on an ARC.

The first thing I want to talk about is the characters. I absolutely loved the characters, and while it was a little hard at first remembering who was who with the four different POVs, once I figured it out and could place who came from what planet and what their background was I couldn't stop reading. I loved the friendships that were formed throughout this novel and how each of the main characters were sort of outcasts in their own way and how that didn't stop them from becoming a family of sorts.

The emotion that was able to come through the page was incredible. The way the author described certain events and how each of the characters were feeling made it very easy to slip into their place and feel those emotions for yourself.

This is probably the only book besides The Illuminae Files that I have read where the main planet wasn't Earth and I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to picture the different planets but the way the author described the planets in such detail, its so easy to feel as if you are actually there.

I found it pretty refreshing that although there were so many twists in the story, I was never able to actually predict any of them correctly and it really added to my enjoyment of the story to have it not be so predictable. The cliff hanger at the end has me wanting to read the second book ASAP!

Light Years is a really amazing start to a new sci-fi series that you are not wanting to miss out on!
